Yeah, it works under Opera 9 / WinXP SP2. Mind that you don’t have to set up :443 in the link since the default https port is 443.

Shouldn’t it be the default now? Even if someone falls into problems with it, we can easily sort this out. And if not, we can turn back to the legacy way.

443 is determined automatically, since you can bypass the apache proxy and access the tomcat server directly. the script should recognize if you came from 8080 or from 80 (thus forwarded to 8443 / 443)… Anyway, this does not hurt anybody.

And actually it is default, at least the login process is set to use ssl for the first post by default.

I still hesistate since we did not let verisign / thawtee sign our keys.
