People send please to me registration on Renoise and that I was unsuccessfully registered also money have lost. And for me it is a lot of, I cannot save up so much any more. A standard of living low. many thanks! ****
Seems he have problem though. But I also think he tries to take me on his arms
I´ve hided his name firstly.
So what does the advertising management say to that?
He said that he registered (payed money via papal) but I could not find any inormation or even a payment attemp about him on SWREG.
As I asked him about more details so that I could understand what had happened, he felt like we had stolen him his registration then and stopped responding to my mails.
If you see this message : Please drop me a line so that we can solve this. Noone of from us wants to steal something from you. Why should we do so ?
We just need something like where and when you exactly payed what to be able to see what happened.
This sounds like the same guy who came to #renoise at IRC.
He stated that we are deceivers who have stolen his money
without giving him a registration. When I suggested to him
how to solve it, he said he didn’t want to talk to us, only get
his registration. Then he left. That doesn’t give us much to work with…
I also said “if you payed, you will receive your registration, as hundreds of other people did, because you simply can’t be the only victim of this fraud”, as this still smells like a fraud attempt itself.
Sorry if this sounds harsh, but if you can’t demonstrate your payment in any way, you can’t claim other people to be thieves.
Well its not funny if someone says and thinks that we are thiefs.
There is really no reason why we should spit on people that support us.
All we need to clear this, is a small piece of cooperation. Just the name of the account and or exact date of the transaction would be enough.
The bad site of all this is that now that people think that its not save to support us, which is defenitly not true. You will always get a cofirmation when you`ve payed something. This is also true for internet transferes. And we will always do everything possible to avoid and / or solve these problems.
registration went smooth as silk for me, and i can’t see where it could go wrong either.
i personally think this guy is just messing around; especially the way he stopped responding to e-mails. if he’d spent all this hard-earned money, you’d think he’d be more desperate to get the program working instead of remaining convinced he’s been ripped off.
sounds more like someone with a grudge against renoise or one of its developers trying to make the product look bad. but if he really has lost his money, then it is a very bad thing to happen and i hope it gets solved.
mmmh, seems he don´t want to talk anymore!! (even to me )
so I now guess too that he´s a scam because when somebody is really keen into get his registration then he really shouldn´t stop any kind of communication and co-operation.
i bet he’s just trying new trick to get full version
in case he really registered and the order was processed then he should have his registration and his data should be present in our databases so it is not “embarrasing” to contact to ask for help…
in case he is registered, he should just say his registered name and it is easy to check on registration service (SWREG) if the order was correctly processed, but probably it wasn’t so there was no charge to the credit card.
and indeed it is: developers have checked the file (at least the most popular) and saw that, altough it is claimed to be 1.261, it is the same 1.2 registered version which was stolen/bought/whatever from a regular ReNoise user who now has lost his licence.
It’s real fast forgetting what files you share on a LAN or sumthin… Ah well, about this guy, I do think it’s rather irrational of him to swag us all off, I mean, we’ve been nothing but supportive with him… I got the mail too, didn’t respond cos this was an issue that didn’t concern me at all. Seemed more like a beggars-mail, or maybe some act of desperation and frustration…
To Whoever’s Ripped, taking you seriously:
There are several simple steps to be made to fix this:
Firstly, mail paypal with your account number, date and item of purchase. This sounds mostly like a mess-up on their behalf. If they don’t have any record of payment, Renoise-dev sure doesn’t. It’s really easy to get proof in these log-days!
Secondly, call VISA! I had some weird porn-site I’d never ever heard of (woot?) rip money off my bill, I declined any knowledge to my bank of this purchase, and got my money back. One form filled: hardly ANY questions asked. Slagging off Renoise dev/users is NOT the way to go no matter how frustraded you might be.
Now, does this make sense? Is this hard to do? Still won’t listen and just slag on further? Then you have lost ALL credibility, 'cause this is easily fixable.
Not only is it old, and the same old known one, but it doesn’t work. A “cracked” version without the features of the registered version smells like something you shouldn’t install on your PC, unless you like viruses, trojans, backdoors and other nasty things.
