I Can't Get My Vst/au To Work. Mac-users Help Please!

Here’s the thing.

I have an subscription on a magazine in holland called “interface”
This month it comes with a free VST/AU :D

The “interface Predator” of rob papen!!!

I downloaded it and installed the .mpkg
Rescanned my vst and au folder in renoise.
…and it doesn’t appear anywhere :(

It does appear in Ableton live but there it doesn’t works :(

Reinstalled it a few times without any progress.

What are my option to look for? Where can I change things to make it work?
I’m not very good with finding out stuff on mac because everything normally just works…

Any tips?

anyone?

Sounds odd, maybe there is a fault in the software itself?
You could… send interface an email asking this to be sure, although I’m ‘supposed to be a mac expert’
I don’t see why this whould not work.

The only situation where vst/au plugins do not work are when attempting to use PPC plugins on an Intel Mac.
PPC plugins are compiled for a different instruction set so they won’t be executed at all.
Other than that i would check software environment or the developer of the plugin if that is one of the only plugins that is causing this problem.

…hmmm The plugin came out last week so I don’t think that it is a ppc plugin, I opened Renoise using “rosetta” and that didn’t do the trick.

I bought the albino 3 of rop papen and it works perfectly so it’s strange that this plugin of rop papen doesn’t work.

I’ll mail interface for this problem. I think I tried everything now.

Thanx for the advice vV.

Did something change with the AU structure or is there a new AU standard that anyone knows of?
I can’t seem to find any recent topics on this…
Perhaps a Mac update that is causing wreak Havoc on these plugins?
