Anyway I think it is real. After all, the people who launch the girl appear to have some skills, and the same goes for the girl, which is probably a gymnast or a diver, so in the end it should not be extremely difficult for her: just damn difficult

The easiest way to figure out if it is real is to right click upon the movie and click the “play” option (to pause it by removing the marker) at the moment the girl fall through the hoop.
Step forward by rightclick and press “f” and step backward by rightclick and press “b” (why would you use virtual dub?)
And then you will notice that she really dives neatly through it.
I viewed the flash-file in Media Player Classic, where you can automatically watch it frame by frame. I think it’s a faked video, the more I watch it. Check her arms for example, I’m not sure that the way she holds them she would get through the hole. It is also a miracle she doesn’t touch her feet or smash her face into the metalring. On the other side, it doesn’t really matter whether it’s fake or not since it’s the experience that counts and I for sure felt the adrenaline when I first watched that movie. One can’t happen to think anything else than OMG!

Fake, but very well done. Notice you never see their feet. She probably was in front of the basket and was really thrown, but not through the basket. Still though, the added touch of her head hurting was very good, but the guys not really caring, to that degree anyway, is unrealistic.
It was definately well done though.
Edit: Also on that site is the “cheerleader toss” game. I cracked up laughing when I played it.
Or you could just make a basketball ring and net out of materials that has not the potential to hurt you really bad? If not they are very stupid and irresponsible to take a risk like that.
