I assume you know about 0Uxx and 0Dxx? If it’s a VST instrument you want to automate, you can use the automation device to control its tuning and finetuning controls, if it’s got them. See sample fx and automation device in the manual.

Also: dblue’s Glitch, a free VST, has a tape-stop effect.

Copy it and then paste it into the DSP chain.

For some reason I find pasting straight from the forum doesn’t work. I have to paste it into Notepad and then re-copy it before Renoise will recognise the data in the clipboard is something it will accept.
