Oh, seemingly it’s oldschool Techno time, @Jek @Hapfac @ntkr. “Nawakwa” by Jek isn’t my cup of tea (too hardcore :wink:), but I appreciate the vibe, which is perfect for many parties in the Netherlands. “Like it” by Hapfac sounds good so far, but personally I would fill the gaps with more sounds, it partially sounds a little empty. “MR. productive” by ntkr could have a better mix, but I appreciate the style, I used to dance to similar stuff 30+ years ago.

The bachelor of drumology is back with a perfect study object called “Pins and Needles”, which I like the most of those 4 excerpts.

It’s rather Techno / Trance with a touch of House. Nice mix, nice instrumentation, good melodies of the synths, it’s just not my style. But I’d prefer your track over the other one. :slightly_smiling_face:

Congrats for creating all those synths, sounds and the female voice with your bare hands. I can only clap, snap, make rubbing, scratching and cracking noises with my bare hands. Anyway, I like your 1996 Trance track better because of the vibe. 1996 > 2007!

@Cursed
Still not my style, but I have to say that your stuff is pretty coherent. Really good. Nice vibe, nice video, everything matches. Which DAW are you using, Renoise? If so, well done.

Ah hey @TNT ..thanks for listening!

love me some depressive melodic black metal !!! :sign_of_the_horns: or doom metal :sweat_smile: since overall tempo is quite slow

Here’s a nice one, rather long but it’s MANWE & Friends there is some renoise in there but they mostly use Schism Tracker (For that IT ‘Finger Feel’)… Top notch not a garbage tune in there-

Wow, this sounds really cool! :smiley: That track “Transistor” is great also, because of that radio sample (AM radio?), and the 909 kick is very awesome. Do you use Drumazon 2 for that? Or the older Drumazon 1, Roland 909 cloud, or completely samples? In Drumazon 2 there are some nice EQ and distortion options. :wink:

I think this sounds very stable and clear to me. And I like this track also. :wink:

Yeah, sounds cool. Renoise, or which DAW? :slight_smile:

Yap, Renoise

Ravology

Two different kicks are used on this track, bandcamp link below:

The fist kick heard is from a Drumbrute Impact, sampled by BoBeats from his pack ‘Sonic Treats Drums’ the specific onehit is ‘DB KICK 3’ and it is processed by the Distoriton DSP with some very aggressive settings.

The second kick is a short distored 909 Kick played very fast creating a buzz sound which is sampled and layered with a longer distored 909 Kick played on the 1’s, the ‘buzz channel’ volume fades in on each longer 909 hit via hardcoded volume column adjustments.

Havent tried Drumazon 2 yet, but will totally look into it. This past black friday I did pick up ‘Punchbox’ and it is great, for creating short kicks, and fun to use, not so much for kick tails though.

Thanks so much for listening and commenting!

Been a while since I’ve finished anything. Finally got this to a point I’m happy with. Midtempo and Acid-y
