today i made this
Oh, seemingly itâs oldschool Techno time, @Jek @Hapfac @ntkr. âNawakwaâ by Jek isnât my cup of tea (too hardcore
), but I appreciate the vibe, which is perfect for many parties in the Netherlands. âLike itâ by Hapfac sounds good so far, but personally I would fill the gaps with more sounds, it partially sounds a little empty. âMR. productiveâ by ntkr could have a better mix, but I appreciate the style, I used to dance to similar stuff 30+ years ago.
The bachelor of drumology is back with a perfect study object called âPins and Needlesâ, which I like the most of those 4 excerpts.
Itâs rather Techno / Trance with a touch of House. Nice mix, nice instrumentation, good melodies of the synths, itâs just not my style. But Iâd prefer your track over the other one. ![]()
Congrats for creating all those synths, sounds and the female voice with your bare hands. I can only clap, snap, make rubbing, scratching and cracking noises with my bare hands. Anyway, I like your 1996 Trance track better because of the vibe. 1996 > 2007!
@Cursed
Still not my style, but I have to say that your stuff is pretty coherent. Really good. Nice vibe, nice video, everything matches. Which DAW are you using, Renoise? If so, well done.
Ah hey @TNT ..thanks for listening!
love me some depressive melodic black metal !!!
or doom metal
since overall tempo is quite slow
Will probably try at some point, it just doesnât come naturally for me. ![]()
Iâm using Reaper these days, once the workflow clicked there was no turning back. And thanks for your kind words. ![]()
i suck at mixing i know
Me too but i dont care.Focus on the music that is what counts the most and leave the mixing to other people
Hereâs a nice one, rather long but itâs MANWE & Friends there is some renoise in there but they mostly use Schism Tracker (For that IT âFinger Feelâ)⌠Top notch not a garbage tune in there-
Wow, this sounds really cool!
That track âTransistorâ is great also, because of that radio sample (AM radio?), and the 909 kick is very awesome. Do you use Drumazon 2 for that? Or the older Drumazon 1, Roland 909 cloud, or completely samples? In Drumazon 2 there are some nice EQ and distortion options. ![]()
I think this sounds very stable and clear to me. And I like this track also. ![]()
Yeah, sounds cool. Renoise, or which DAW? ![]()
Yap, Renoise
Two different kicks are used on this track, bandcamp link below:
The fist kick heard is from a Drumbrute Impact, sampled by BoBeats from his pack âSonic Treats Drumsâ the specific onehit is âDB KICK 3â and it is processed by the Distoriton DSP with some very aggressive settings.
The second kick is a short distored 909 Kick played very fast creating a buzz sound which is sampled and layered with a longer distored 909 Kick played on the 1âs, the âbuzz channelâ volume fades in on each longer 909 hit via hardcoded volume column adjustments.
Havent tried Drumazon 2 yet, but will totally look into it. This past black friday I did pick up âPunchboxâ and it is great, for creating short kicks, and fun to use, not so much for kick tails though.
Thanks so much for listening and commenting!
Been a while since Iâve finished anything. Finally got this to a point Iâm happy with. Midtempo and Acid-y
I wouldnât go in there if i were you.
it made my skin crawl !Well done.
i told you not to go in there! ![]()
