I have put com.duftetools.SimplePianoroll_v5.5_api6.2.xrnx in there already but it does not show up in Renoise tools.Maybe there is another folder somewhere or the tool does not work ?
There is also the main application folder /Renoise/Scripts/Tools
I installed xfce x11 and i managed to install the tools.Problem solved !
another track from my backlog of an ongoing proj.
one of my convoluted tracks so far
I got a sound file from my step daughter who recorded a snippet of a conversation between a taxi driver and her mum..
She wondered if I could make something out of it, so I filtered and chopped the recording and found out that both driver and passenger had a rhythm!
It was a conversation about struggle, hardship and hope,
inspired me to make this piece of what-would-you-call-the-style?
My wife hasn’t heard it yet, but she and her daughter will hear it on mothers day ![]()
i may do videos on Vimeo. Youtube is owned by billionaires with regressive views : ( I stopped using the site in 2025. dont want ppl still using it to discover my music anyway xD
i’d say a make a video if it’s fun
this is my EP, btw, I just saw the discussion first and wanted to encourage the making of videos while also dunking on Youtube… the EP: Stream metaconcept | Listen to Crystals EP playlist online for free on SoundCloud
Hello everyone!
This is my newest track, originally released in 2015.
Everything is remixed, reperformed and remastered (all in Renoise).
Enjoy!
What rituals and what does that have to do with soundcloud ?
oh sorry wait I’m removing my post right now.
A remake of my recent longer release:
I used samples tend to render to sample take bits from other tracks rework and make sets render to sample string aka like in the OLD DAYS … this is a track using a lot of FX B0 S points Volume panning etc..
I used to be at UK london squat raves and was a squatter back in the day ..etc.. this is remix playing as a set .. overlayed rework and seamless mixing of most of my own squat rave scene heros . Im so glad I stumbled onto renoise back in the day my GO to was Creator SL .. TOP wish there was like in creator Sl and Notator Sl a Ramp up ie I fill the pattern and then visual ramp up down with the mouse yeah I can interpolate etc.. but some plugin IM not a coder would be great along with NOTE off across all the tracks … for example anyway… enjoy
F cubase never liked it Lets not talk about Ableton … sorry … some others are good but Im Finging LOVING renoise so frigging much … anyone know of decent hardware to add to it … for live let me know .. LOL had a few ableton HOW the F did you get such filters etc.. from a laptop.. RENOISE I have barely scratched the surface its so frigging good.. check out this hope you like if you like squat rave free party techno renoise does this the BEST
Hello everyone!
Another one of my latest tracks, originally released in 2016.
Everything is remixed, reperformed and remastered in Renoise.
Enjoy!
Here my latest Renoise creation with lots of VST ´s combined with Renoise FX Flanger Effect. As usual having fun while composing is my main motivation but always happy if other people like it too.
Massive improvement in comparison to the original version! Replacing the snare was half the battle, and the mix is WAY better. Well done! Not as good as “Binary Sunset”, but I also like “Ballerina”, which could have been used in late 80s Hong Kong comedy action movies (like Mad Mission) as a theme. Since your songs are very guitar-heavy, are you using Renoise or something else? Real guitars or guitar VSTs? Anyway, it seems that you’re generally creating good stuff, regardless of the style. Nevertheless I would recommend to create more stuff like Binary Sunset, because it’s way cooler than guitar-heavy radio friendly music. ![]()
I prefer “Already There”, but this is good too. 80s radio music (when radio music was still ok). I assume the voice is a real singer, because you told me so in terms of other songs.
According to your wife I can lay down and die, but nevertheless I hope that your song was a good surprise for your wife and that she likes it. ![]()
Really appreciate your time and comments TNT!
I’ve been doing this for 35 years, so I’ve been through a lot of phases in terms of genres. I always loved listening to as many things as possible, that’s why my music is kind of all over the place when it comes to styles and sound.
I come from a (Sound)tracker background, so about half of my stuff was initially made with trackers. “Binary Sunset” and “Ballerina” were made entirely in Renoise using stock, free and some paid plugins. The guitars are real (and sometimes bass too) although my performing skills are very limited.
