I would like to hear your music made with Renoise or other Daws

yes, like a constant, not reacting to any other content. That could be considered as an art, due to all the sidechaining madness :D.

I would not be surprised if,in the future, new genres of music involve coding

And maybe that in the future, for big mainstream tracks, there will be a sound engineer + a coder

To be honest Iā€™d not noticed how bad that very first sub is in killing the other tracks. Itā€™s not great is it! Personally after that I think itā€™s ok - but itā€™s all subjective eh. Strangely though - no sidechain was used. I think it was in the mastering actually.

i mean if that was your intention thatā€™s all fine.
Also - the mastering stage should be used to improve existing material, not to deal with ā€˜mix issuesā€™ or similar stuffā€¦ iā€™ll drop out now, not to flood the post

Yeah - fully aware of that  I think the mastering was done online - might have even been Landr - which definitely changes the sound! Mastering isnā€™t my thing at all, but this was done on a very tight deadline on a very tight budgetā€¦
Personally Iā€™m happy with it after that first sub hit which kills the organ - that bit kinda sucks. But yeah - letā€™s not overtake this thread!

iā€™ll keep this track available until end of day. What do you think guys?

the cat meow at the end is what got me started on this instrumental - she went SCREAMING in the middle of the night and i sat down and wrote this, minimally mixed just not to sound dullā€¦

updated version (faster and extended :D)

My release on Mokum Records from last month: MOK230.

Sounds are mostly processed analog gear (TR909, MKS50, x0xb0x) sampled into Renoise, production and mix all in Renoise.

I would like to know what you think, thanks for listening.

Oh. They still exist. I still wonder how the scene will survive without those big parties. Still love my old Mokums.

Diatonic is also my favorite, never thought they would release this track on Mokum, because itā€™s so different. Iā€™m really glad that they did.

Thanks for listening @stoiximan , I appreciate it a lot.

Diatonic sounds more like a Knor record. I like this style.

Maybe youā€™re right, I only know some old Reyes track by name from Knor records. But normally the kick is much more distorted on these labels, and the bpm is higher, I think that makes me think itā€™s a little different.

I wouldnā€™t say so. Esp. the old Knor releases had a range from about 130 to 200 bpm, as far as I remember. Times have changed and since the youth nowadays prefer parties to hang up in the crowd and do some headbanging, the bpm changed a lot as well. The most known Mokums of the old days were also around 180 to 2XX bpm.
