I would like to hear your music made with Renoise or other Daws

lilith is the man for New Retro Techno. If New Retro Wave is receding one day New Retro Techno will take over.

One question: What does the 93 stand for? Is this your year of birth or have you chosen this additive because your music sounds like Techno from 1993 to 1999? And if 93 is your year of birth, why does your music sound like music from this decade? I mean, you haven’t heard it in the clubs back then, right?!

The song is good and I like the snare, too.
No, seriously, I like your kind of goa trance style sound in a slower pace with some subtle acid and a touch of electronic, the melodies are well put together, the vocals aren’t too loud and fit to the sound, the overall balance is good, But what I like the most is the fact that your music is a sort of time machine which always puts me back to the 90s, and I love the 90s. If I wouldn’t know that you’re the creator I could think it’s an old tape.

Hi and thanks so much! The strange thing is that I was listening to Grunge during this time (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Faith No More) and absolutely not to electronic music. I got interested in electronic music much later somewhere in 2004 or so when discovering COIL.

" I mean, you haven’t heard it in the clubs back then, right?!"

No I didn’t, but I’m also not born in 1993 but in 1976

The 93 has it’s origin in the band Current 93 … Just google the number and it will bring you to Crowley, Thelema, etc. I thought it sounds cool and I also have it on my licence tag. So if you see a black Skoda with 93 on it that’s me

I just listened through my headphones and man you did a remarkable job producing this, you really took care of every detail.Respect to you my friend

Thanks ! I appreciate it. I also did a screencast in case someone is interested…

I’m really deep into this jungle thing since I discovered this old school / atmospheric sub-genre which is not 100% focused on production quality and endless bass patching… This goes back to the roots. A few pad / synth / voice and breakbeats samples: just make a track

I like Renoise videos, it’s always interesting to see how others are using the program. :+1:
I wonder that I can’t see anything regarding to mastering and parallel processing. Is this an unmastered track? It also seems to be uncompressed in most cases.

The style is not my cup of tea, but good work! :slightly_smiling_face:
And this is called “Psytrance” nowadays? It could also be called “Goa Trance” if you ask me.

Nice work! It sounds a little bit dull at the moment, but it’s a WIP, so what?!
Please don’t add fake artificial japanese anime singing to it.

Thanks, No real mastering on this track besides some eq and tdr kotelnikov compressor on the drum group. I downsampled a lot of the samples so no real dynamic range issues… I also have an instance of ozone elements with the eq and the limiter on the master track but I had to remove it for the screencast because my 2014 laptop couldnt handle the load (and there still is a dropout at some point…)

Well you right after all, psytrance nowadays its very wide genre form cryptic “squelcy” sound to boring tripplet everywhere.
And thank you very much

Le son est super agreable au casque
Pas de transtoires agressives ou de frequences derangeante
pas d’harmonies dissonantes
Franchement tu es dans la bonne directon

We need a bypass button for these cases, I have same trouble.

@TNT I’ll try to make it more uplift!
But yeah this one will stay instrumental! reassured ? ^^

@Tall_TeQ Thanks!
:fr: Merci! Je fais au mieux! J’aimerai que le son soit légèrement plus boosté, mais je n’y arrive pas encore très bien, à suivre donc.

I suggest you to use Slate Digital FG-MU multiband compressor. And, of course, finish that mix to solid song.

I’ve gotten into aggroculture recently. Made myself a small greenhouse where i grow a lot of anger, nosebleedings, black eyes and other aggressive veggies. :stuck_out_tongue:

No artificial japanese anime singer, cool. :+1:
The track is well composed, a nice tiny chiptune like song. I just would boost the drums a little and the low ends a liitle more, it sounds a bit weak compared to the mid section.

Interesting. Except Synthwave I do the opposite, because our world is cold without any future and I want to grab that atmosphere. That’s why I usually create dark Electro. Synthwave is my contribution of positivity and for me personally a link to the past when life was easy, too.

Another Synthwave track:
