I think it would be useful if instrument capture would check other columns in a track when the column you are in is empty
It could scan left to right when in an empty column in a track and grab the first instrument number it found.
If this is too CPU heavy or awkward, could it be made this way for [shift+ return] so the user can do this manually?
It can becom a little frustrating to always have be in the correct column to capture an instrument (particularly if you want the instrument captured while you are navigating in the mixer for example and you land on column 1 which is empty )
No more “capturing instruments” (YES!)
