if you’re in dosbox->dos type config -writeconf myconf

that’ll generate a conf-file
that file allows you to select soundcards, and to define soundbuffer as well as some sort of prebuffer
you could try to play around with these settings
the standard soundbuffer is at 2048, for IT mine’s at 1024 but I didn’t really try FT2 (just opened a file and pressed play once)

and next time you start dosbox, start it using your conf

DosBox -conf myconf

DOSBox requiers a strong computer to be ran.

You should also try using the F9 - F12 keys to adjust the emulated CPU cucle speed. (am I right about the keys?)

I got it to work somehow by increasing CPU cycles, but the MMX does not work, so no filters in IT.

And the sound is crappy. My GUS had million times better sound.
And it’s still wery slow, choking onto smallest CPU load.

I think Reduz created once a patch for DOSBox that improves efficiency when running IT.

With some help from IT-Alien I got FT2 running with DosBox a lot more smooth by changing the config; “rate” from some number to 44100 in the category Mixer and Gus. So I used Ultrasound in FT2, but it still didn’t sound good at all; roar in the background and half of the instruments sounded far from accurate.

So, any other options?

I don’t know, but IT works like charmo now.

Uh, not quite… some of the hotkeys are reserved for DosBox, so if I toggle a channel with shift-f9, DosBox is instantly banished from realm.

Finally I could convert my DMFs by running X-Play 3.0 in DOSBOX and enabling the WAV-Writer.

I think, the next few uploads on my page will be my 1994-1996s releases

Anyways, I like the tight screenshot of ST3+IT+FT2+Renoise. (I love them programs! 4-ever)

Some quick notes/questions:

I got IT to run under OS9/OSX under Virtual PC on an iBook 500mhz.
What’s DOSbox? Is it free and where can I get a copy!!!
Where do you get the RESONATE filters for IT everyone keeps talking about? I want to play with them.
