I guess the best way to describe this is. If I had entered 940 into the effect column and then it does the sample offset as I’m putting the note in and editing without the need to play the track back.

This was the old behavior, it got removed because this mode also took care parameters of plugins in the effectrack got changed unwanted when the plugin-device number got changed. e.g.:You had a parameter value for plugin 1 in the effectcolumn programmed and on changing the plugin device value to 2 in that effectcolumn, suddenly a parameter gets changed unwanted on plugin 2 while you don’t know what this parameter was for and worse:you had no chance to figure out the original value of that parameter was because this move was not anticipated for.
But i believe with patternfollow toggled, this should still work that way, only when pattern follow is not turned on, this change-on-follow behavior is disabled as well.
Why not to make it apply exclusively to note input, with panning and volume applied too?
