In Need of a Friend to Render My Song :(

Hello, Renoise community! This is my first post and it’s a shame it’s not for something as important as fiddling with the actual program, but I am in need nonetheless.
I have the free trial version of Renoise right now and I made what I think is a pretty great track and I would really like it if I could send this file to someone who has the full version to render it to a file that can be shared to me because I really want to show my friends and family.
I can’t do this at the moment because I can’t buy the full version until a few weeks, but I can’t wait for this!

If there’s anyone willing to help me, please send me your e-mail and I’ll be your longtime friend! :D

Just use this until you get the registered version:

http://www.voxengo.com/product/recorder/

I’m not sure if we’re technically allowed to do that as per the licensing terms…

If you weren’t this solution would have been blocked in the demo version.
You still don’t have the arguru sinc feature and frankly you still render in cubic interpolation as Voxengo only takes the input it gets and stuff like 64-bit processing result are not really taken in account with finesse either i suspect.
On top of all that: the question whether your hardware is powerful enough to play the song without jittering and crackling.
So there are still quite some features you miss out on with just that solution.

I don’t see a point in licence terms forbidding the use of the recorder. Whether it is ethical or not is another thing, and I would definitely recommend buying the full version instead of using this software to bypass the restrictions. If you are buying this software anyway, I see no harm for recording the output to share with friends until you get money for buying the full licence. Using Renoise internal renderer is definitely much more comfortable and efficient than using recorder plugins.

Yeah, I don’t think this can work with the demo version because it says “Failed to initialize plug-in,” but thanks anyways!

To me this sounds like a legit reason for making such a request. I mean who would post here asking for this if they’re supposed to do something professional with it anyway?
The chance is that when this guy shows off his awesome music to his parents they probably offer to pay the small license fee. ;)
If the render is converted to lossy format then i don’t see why this should be a problem and it would probably not sound any better than the recording solution either.
I can do it for you if it doesn’t put me in a bad spot.

In Linux you can use Jack to route the audio into Audacity, hit record on Audacity, and then play your Renoise track.

Would you really?! That would be so great!
Can I send it to the e-mail you have on record here?

Could you upload it and pm the link perhaps?
