Yeah! They could have had that way sooner, too… just like humans, not even fighting back when overwhelming in numbers 
(and not too shabby 1 on 1 I might say o_O)
This clip had me thinking; what if the waterbuffalos never started running when the lions attacked? What if they, instead of sprinting, stayed put? And put up a fight instead?
That would probably be much more effective.
You saw how easily the buffalo threw that lion up in the air.
Poor ones. 
They had no meal.
Those buffaloes were really wimpy.
