[SOLVED] Is it safe to git clone a github repo onto Scripting Tools?

Hi, I’d prefer to have my GitHub Paketti Repository in the Scripting Tools folder where the rest of the scripts I use are, at.
Is this safe? Does Renoise commit suicide / become unresponsive, if there’s .git stuff there?

I don’t think anything will happen, nor that Renoise will have any stability problems because of that.

However, Renoise may scan the contents of these folders in certain cases. So, if they are not exclusive files for Lua tools, I wouldn’t particularly invade these folders with external content. Nor would I do it if they are files that I am constantly modifying, unless they are from the tools themselves.

I prefer to think that it is necessary to use things for what they are used for. But I don’t think you’ll have any problem with Renoise. Simply put, if you do a scan, if the files are not associated, it will ignore them.

yep, i decided to not do it at all, better to just keep my Paketti GitHub repo separate from what’s in Renoise, and then use the Web upload to upload the changed segments.
