Before i go further, “Bravo” 4 all Renoise Team.
The [Note Cut] is correctly handled but :
. the [Note Off] doesn’t appear in Pattern,
. the Instrument Sustain, even if it’s right placed, isn’t switch on when it has to.
I send a little .it song to taktik@renoise.com, so you could exactly see what i’m talking about.
…euh… when will we be abble to browse into .it or .xm to catch instruments or samples ?
I also got some reports, that the envelopes are somehow wrong imported.
MigusH, could you also send me a little song which demonstrates this problem ? This would help me a lot.

The song I send has 2 notes. The first one is “offed” after 4 ticks, and the second one is “cutted” after 4 ticks.

Renoise has a hard time with sustain loops + NNA fades.
Most of my old tracks use both of these & when I try to import them into Renoise I usually get channels full of never-ending looped samples.
– also, pattern loop-points don’t work.
I don’t think it’s too big a deal – I don’t expect 100% backwards compatability; but, if anyone is interested in pursuing this further, I can supply some tracks which exhibit these problems + ogg/mp3 versions of what they should sound like.
as renoise has no sustain loops but only a sustain point it will be impossible to convert this 100% now, but have you checked the importer with the latest build ? I have fixed/improved some minor stuff like converting the NNA and sustainfades.
I’m still getting lots of out of control loops on quite a few of my old tracks. I think it might be something more than just sustain loops + NNA fades… I’ll have to fire up Impluse Tracker and take a look at exactly what’s going on.
