So I’m composing something that was at the border of what my laptop can handle (lots of reaktor instruments)
1 pattern, pressing RShift, count-in begins… on the one I play a key
Renoise crashes bad just after emitting a few dozen samples worth of sound (hangs, ctrl-alt-del task manager couldn’t help it, had to restart)
Luckily, I just saved
I’ve had this happening on a couple of occasions too.
Only happens on startup, seems especially likely when system resources are low, and after the warning the script will run successfully…
I wonder if it’s because it’s is one of the few tools that respond to changes in MIDI ports? Better take a look at this, but I’m not entirely sure how to test against this.
