I’m trying to recreate a synth sound that found on my microKorg synth in Renoise. I was wondering if anyone’s into understanding ‘traditional’ synth building and can shed light on the following dilemmas:
If a kind of ‘general’ cutoff frequency of a low-pass filter is used on a synth like microKorg, is its frequency key-tracked? On microKorg I discovered an option “FILTER KEY TRACK” but it’s not like Renoise’s key track. It’s more like key-tracking on cutoff is already tighly ON (moving with keys), but can be ‘reversed’ or enchanced (going up the scale turns the cutoff frequency down & vice versa, or going up the scale turns the cutoff frequency more extremely up…)…
Anyway, is this even comparable or is the signal flow (or processing) in the traditional (i think microKorg is not trully analogue) synths is substantially different from what can be done in Renoise’s instruments section?
