Damn… so no…
Well, is anyone interested in either a FILCO standard keyboard with the brown (non clicky) cherry MX switches or a FILCO tenkeyless with the blue (clicky) ones?
I’ll order the tenkeyless in a few days and sell the one I’m least comfortable with.
I picked up a Microsoft Sidewinder X4, which just came out. Although it’s considered a lower end gaming keyboard, it’s awesome for tracking. Anti-ghosting for 26 simultaneous key presses. Uses a single USB connector. Unfortunately, I haven’t tested it by pressing 26 keys at once, but it certainly works with 10 (fingers) simultaneously. It goes for around $50.

Oh, and it looks nice too. Not too flashy like a Saitek Cyborg (my previous keyboard, which had a hard time with more than 3 keys pressed at once.)
I’ve never owned a Dell machine, but I refuse to use a keyboard that isn’t one of these:
But not that one - a UK one, with a proper, full-sized Return key and the hash key, backslash key and tilde keys where they’re supposed to be.
I’ve had to stockpile them from eBay in case they start to disappear, and I got a few from the last place I worked too. They’re clunky, but not too loud, space-efficient without losing any keys and really heavy-duty.
Jus’ sayin’…
I’m very happy with my Logitech Illuminated
I have that exact keyboard in my lap right now. A surplus computer store near me has or had a couple bins of these when I got one.
I am still pretty surprised how well it works. Keyboards are one thing that seem to work the best the cheaper in price they go.
mice/trackballs on the other hand. If they stop making Logitech Cordless Optical Trackmans I will start stock piling.
I use the Logitech illuminated too, great keyboard, for tracking too.
I never really understood the point of illuminated keyboards. My fingers interface with the keys while my eyes interface with the monitor. Illuminated keys would be a bit like having my car’s headlights pointing at its wheels instead of at the road.
Speaking of synesthetic confusion, I’m off to listen to some perfume.
Haha damn, if I was looking around my car trying to find the gear-stick at night in the dark, I’d be crashing into everyone I see the point though…maybe I’ve just spent too many years shackled to keyboards
Actually, I’d quite like my Eee 901 keyboard to be slightly illuminated, because there’s not much downshine and it’s a pretty weird layout with teeny keys.
I see your point. Before I got an illuminated keyboard I thought I never looked down at the keyboard, but after getting illuminated keys it sure is easier to type in the the middle of the night …
The new Sidewinder X4 from Microsoft has a Anti Ghosting technology and allows up to 26 keys according to their specs.

Thank you. I stole it from the internet.
Do want!
I have one of these. I still input notes using the qwerty TBH, but having quick access to a ‘real’ keyboard for working out melodies and chords etc, is really handy.
hell, this is crazy stuff !
what`s the name ?
thx for the link
Oops - sorry guys. Forgot to say what it actually was! Duh!
There is another model (DM) which has a pitch bend, too. Had mine for years and it’s very sturdy and never let me down.
