I’ve somewhere read that Renoise now can reset an LFO using graphical automation… But how to do that?
where did you read that it was possible to do that?
Only way I can think of: You can target reset with a hydra, then trigger it by automating the hydra input parametre (using points, not lines). Put in hydra input values equal to the LFO offset value. Would that work like the pattern editor reset command?
Ah yes, thanks. Though it’s then not a very quick workflow anymore. Will try that, maybe one time setup, nothing very painful ![]()
True that. Would be nice if you could just graph automate the reset parametre directly.
the reset behaviour of renoise isn’t great. Even with pattern FX you still have to give a second input to distinguish 2 equal signals (I think). I kind of solved this (for me at least !!) with a simple formula device that is just a ramp with an adjustable length/offset that controls the reset value of a custom lfo. Might not be very snappy because of lua scripts but I like the workflow because you can easily define the length and resetpoints with it over more than one pattern and the external lfo custom curve editor basically gives you control over the whole song if the formula ramp is as long AS the song

You can using a Doofer using two very close value change maybe it works outside of a doofer as well ?
