Line In Device Feedback Problem

I’m having a problem with line in routing to Renoise. I was messing around with sending the audio from the Korg DS-10 game to Renoise, and I got the audio routed OK but when I triggered any audio on the DS, I would hear it twice in the computer. I’m pretty sure this was because it played once on the soundcard itself and then once in Renoise with a delay from latency. I think this because the Renoise mixer didn’t respond untill the second sound. The latency isn’t much of a problem, but is there a way to mute the source or something so I only hear it in Renoise? (also I may be totally wrong about what the actual problem is…)

I’m not sure but I thought there was an option to mute the signal on the Windows mixer.

^Nothing I can find

isn’t this a soundcard issue? Check the soundcard mixer settings…maybe?

This is as Jonas said:an issue that you should resolve on your audio card driver control and the soundcard manufacturer and model set the limits and opportunities for this.

Regarding possibilities for muting external sources inside Renoise:
If this is about the line-ine device:no, muting the source is not possible
In the sample editor you can mute the source when recording by clicking the “speaker” button.

Sorry for posting in the wrong forum guys, thanks for the advice. At least I can still record patterns into the sample editor.
