Link Green Bar With The Small Rectangule Orange For Simply Write Notes

i have got an idea but i havent got any idea on how realize it .
is possible to link the green bar that run down whith the orange small rectangule that write notes???
if this is possible we can wrire our song directly from a midi board and there is a very big semplification.

It is called “pattern follow mode”.

I can’t currently link to the icon but in the player panel, it is the fifth button from the left (between the metronome and record button)
