I’m using Renoise 2.0 RC 1 and Linplug Drum Addiction RMV 5 newest version (relatively new product).
Setup:
RMV is listening tempo synchronized to the host and starts playing the loops whenever I start replay in Renoise. So it even plays if no notes are entered. Routing set up routes the RMV stereo output to a “drum track”.
So far everything is nice, I also can change the level of “drum track”,
Problem: track’s mute button in Post FX Mixer has no effect.
Could this be a bug or have I overseen something here ?
“Mute” will just bypass any notes that are played from the track - this is usually what you want when playing with samples, simple instruments.
RMV runs also when nothing triggers it so you have to use shut it off with the “Off” button (the one next to the mute button) instead. The “Off” button does a traditional mixer muting: set the volume to -INFdb while the track is still playing.
You can use the “OFF” mutes by holding down control while muting a track in the mixer or scopes or pattern editor. You can also set the default mute mode to off in Renoises preferences.

I assumed that only the Pre-FX Channel settings would work like you have described.
I actually expected that the master would behave like the described “Off” muting per default.
Hey Taktik, the mute and off-mute behaviour seems to be opposite to what you have described.
My default setting for muting was already set to “off”. I switched it to “mute” and now
it works as you have described.
May it be that you’ve swapped “mute” and “off-mute” in your explanation accidentally ? Or is it a bug ?
