I think the author of the front page of the renoise site should look up the definition of the word "literally" :-)

It looks fine to me. The word doesn’t have one stabil meaning. The way it is used here, it means “seemingly, but not really” (according to Webster’s), analogous to “virtually”: “in effect, although not in fact; for all practical puposes” (again according to Webster’s).
What things are “in effect” is in fact what matters for us as facts…
