Definitely not as tight as the other guy and after listening to a couple of his other videos the slight slackness (is that the right word?) was a little irritating. Would probably sound fine, come across as a bit of swing, if he was a solo drummer in a band but playing along to heavily quantised/syncopated music it becomes quite noticeable.
I also repeat your sentiments to Frux. May be easy to play fast to your own beat but to something complex, quantised and syncopated, having to match almost perfectly I think must be a lot harder. But then my drumming skills are pretty much non-existent.
