Locking Track To Use Only A Particular Inmstrument?

Is there a way to associate an instrument to a track?

What I want is the selected instrument to change automatically…

So, if I am navigating the grid with arrow keys, going to (for example) Track 4, Renoise would always switch to my instrument “bassdrum”. Likewise, moving to Track 5 would always be “snare”… etc…

Feels like alot of wasted work to change by hand :(

You can enable “Capture Instrument”. So it will at least change the instrument automatically if there are notes in that track.
