how do i create loop points and automate their length? is there a pattern editor command for this or do i do something else?

It’s not possible currently, you’ll have to use a plugin like Highlife, which is now freeware.

Generating/typing a bunch of 09xx commands would produce similar to loop point automation sound.
yeah i thought of that, but it seems as if it would be in sync with the tempo of the song. one of the things that i like about loop point automation is the fact that it flows pretty independently of the song tempo. maybe i could do something like that by automating the amp envelopes, ie go from no DSR to incremintally more. maybe? worth a try tho. let’s see if it works.
