Mac Aif's Not Working

A friend of mine has a macintosh and he has given me a lot of sample cd’s he has compiled together. Unfortunately they’re all a type of AIF format that Renoise doesn’t recognize. Currently I have to load these samples into soundforge and re-save them for them to work in Renoise.

Any suggestions? Have I found a bug or is the macintosh really that messed up? :)

Could you please send such a aif to bug@renoise.com ?

maybe: if the AIF-files are burned on cd via mac-os, Windows or Renoise can’t recognize the file-format coz of the Mac-os first file-chunk … the Mac Os filesystem saves file system information for every file within each file … it’s possible to cut the mac-os file-chunk via StuffIt for Windows e.g. …

I sent some files over.

They all load fine on every media player program I have.

I could convert them all over by hand, loading them into soundforge and resaving them, but it’s a bit tedious since I have so many.

I have the same problem.
I worked With Digibooster Pro on the amiga.
This tracker has a render function just like renoise,
it renders AIF files to.

Wavelab reads them good though.
