Hello
Following this thread
Hi
Again a newbie question.
I find myself very confused about the pattern I’m currently editing in the pattern sequencer.
It’s partly dued to the fact that it’s difficult (for me) to differentiate between the pattern currently playing and the one which is affected by the ctrl+k, ctrl+ins, ctrl+del commands.

Is it possible to make the currently edited pattern more obvious ? maybe change the colour ?
Thanks again, you’re very helpful!
Geoffroy
We might ask for the following :
when pattern is follow off, when you click on a cell on the pattern matrix, select the same line on the pattern sequencer
draw some line/red square around the currently editing pattern sequencer and matrix line, and make it themeable.
Please discuss!
Best

The single click optional function that the Pattern Editor offers (when Edit Mode is on)
is perhaps causing the expected but not available function to the Pattern Matrix ?
Pattern Editor with single click function ON:
click → hold → highlight section → let go = original location remains
click → let go = new location

Next idea is blinking the sequence outline box for the current editing position (like the outline box is one complete edit-cursor).

Modifying a few concepts from Pattern Matrix Rethink (post #5) as well as LSDJ’s arranger.
means current playback, always on the left and the example is done with the assumption of asynchronous playback.
< means current edit, always on the right.
