OSX: Massive X VST demo crashing

Hi. I just bought renoise after enjoying the demo so much! amazing program - lightweight but lots of well thought out features. Workflow rules!

Anyway, just tried the MassiveX demo in it (my first test of a VST in Renoise) and it crashes instantly on preset switching.

this is what happens:

Any help to fix this would be appreciated.

I am on Macbook pro i7 MacOSX 10.14.6
Installed MassiveX demo as VST

Can anybody help with this one or acknowledge the bug so it can be fixed?
