Midi Controller - just buttons?

hey there.

i’m looking around for a midi controller that i can buy which is just assignable buttons. (at least 16).
i’m using a uc-33 atm for it’s faders and knobs but don’t really want to use the 14 buttons on that unit and would like to place some sort of midi controller next to it which is just buttons that i can assign to different buttons in the software i’m using (mostly traktor and renoise).

NOT LOOKING FOR MONOME AS AN OPTION THANKS :D

anybody got any ideas?

cheers, lou.

I like my trigger finger.

have a look at the Akai APD40
http://www.akai-pro.de/produkte/apc40.html

or the MPD-Series.

Or, much cheaper, the Korg Nano Pad
http://www.korgnano.com/
(maybe 2 of them, then you have 24 buttons)

Maybe something for you.

^^^^above^^^^ mpd series seems wonderful if you tap in velocity-sensitive beats. if you only want program controls, you could buy a numeric keypad and use translating software (or even code your own in pure data or max). not sure how confident you are with such a task, but hardware would cost you about $10 total :)
