Midi-driven Envelope Automation

Hello,

I have a track with a bunch of VST devices. One of the devices’ parameters is automated (right click on slider). I can automate that slider by either drawing an automation envelope in the automation window or entering commands in the pattern window. This is tedious. I want to be able to draw the automation envelope by recording the movement of a midi controller live. Is this possible? If so, how?
