Mixer Volume Fader Troubles / Question

Hi…

I have problems with Mixer Volume Faders.!

If i insert compressor to the dsp chain then edit track volume, in the mixer Fader, the volume is chaged BEFORE the compressor!
This is wrong working chain, (pre and post didnt help that)
DSP effects era always Before the Mixer Volume potmeter. in real hardwares or other softwares.

SO i dont understand why Mixer volume is change the volume before the effects chain. I always need to re-edit my compressor or other dynamic settings and Fail if i automate the volume fader. PLease correct this.

Another thing is the sample preview, in sony vegas there’s a preview volume meter for prev the sample. This is a good stuff coz we can’t kill our ear and monitors with louder samples. maybe you can implement this small feature, really usefull…

THank you.

The Renoise has only ONE effects chain, and TWO faders. If you edit the PRE FADER then it will apply the modification before the compressor. If you edit the POST FADER it will apply the modifications AFTER the compressor.

In mixer view you can see buttons “Pre”, “Post” in the right corner. In DSP channel view the post fader is in the end of the channel chain.

i see.

thank you, let me chek…

All the other audio apps have the post fader as standard on the mixer. But in Renoise the pre fader is the default and the post fader is not automatable?
