Mixer Volume

some time ago i mentioned that
mixer volume is related to first track “volume device” - not the last
and i think is nonsence
becouse, if i have in track compresio,nois gating or another amplitude based effect
the mixer volume control wilkl effect not only amplitude of track but even sounding

i think more logical would be to relate mixer volume to “last” outgoing signal manipulation device

why don’t you just throw a gainer at the end of your dsp chain and automate that instead?

oh soryry i just saw ability to turn mixer to post and pre manipulation mixer. topic closed for me.

Adding Gainers is not a structural solution. The current routing recommends a wrong method of amplification. We have the responsibility to guide users towards Best Practices.

As for visualization, the Track DSP panel would have to get a new Amp device just before the Post-Amp. The Mixer needs a third button along the PRE and POST ones.

The other current solution instead of a gainer would then be:
Pre-amp -> Fx -> Send-track (mute source) -> “mid-amp” -> Post-amp
