Hi was wondering if there is a device in Renoise to perform the simple task of making any channel Mono ? I don’t really want to use 3rd party stuff as i’m trying to get away from relying on them
The “Stereo Expander” device will turn a stereo signal into mono (both L and R containing the same signal, no difference) if you turn the “Expand” slider way to the left until it reads “Mono”. You can decide below which signal you want then, pure left or right, or both mixed together as “L+R”.
I’d recommend this on the master bus in “L+R” mode, and then toggling it on/off by demand, to constantly control whether your music is mono compatible (i.e. sound alright when played back on a mono system).
