Mono output to a single speaker (Auraltone/Avantone substitute)

Hello,

Just got a Behringer C50A mono speaker. On Linux I can use qjackctl to connect both Mst outputs to the same audio card DAC output. As it migth be a tad more convenient, is there a way in Renoise to connect the Mst output to the same audio card output ? Only pairs are currently shown.

Thanks.

Aren’t those rather supposed to be bought as a twin pair & then used in stereo setups, like other studio monitors? Isn’t mono really, really dead, only present in old cellphones?

For checking mono compatibility of my track (mono might be not dead enough yet, and phase issues and such, you never know…) I place a “stereo expander” device on the master, and set “expand” to the very left so it reads “mono”. Below the sliders you can set which channel you want, l, r, or sum. It will still be a stereo output, but both channels will have the same signal.

No. A mono mid-range “grot box” is a great way to judge mixes. (I too have a single Beritone speaker, for this purpose.)
