Multichannel Compressors That Support 32 Bit Float

I’ve ben searching around for sound compressors that support multichannel 32-bit float wave types but either Audition saves it in a crap format or none of the existing compressors i found so far (Vorbistools, TTA) can handle them, though they claim they can handle them.

Anoyone knows a tool that can compress those types to 5.1 ogg or 5.1 mp3 format?
(I also tried multichannel 16 bit… didn’t work out either)

?

No sorry, i mean an audio-compressor to get an OGG or MP3 in multichannel format.

I’ve read on CTG that there is one here

Lol That would be the last place on earth i would be looking since my default idea is everything on that site costs you a donation of half your organs.

But Thanks! it works!

Only one backdraw:

The evaluation period will expire on the 31st of December 2005. After this date, the player will keep all its functions.

I hope they really mean 2005 and not mistaken 2004 for it.

why 32bit float? If you don’t intend to further work with the audio, but only want to listen then 32bit has no use. 24bit should be supported by modern codecs.
The question is of course how much sense higher bitdeaph makes, because lossy codecs dynamically reduce the bitdepth anyway to reduce filesize.

Maybe because the program i use doesn’t have 24bit multichannel wave-file rendering.

It has various bitrates WMA rendering, two 16 bit modes and two 32bit types (including type 3)

And no, not necessarily 32bit, but all free codecs currently found do not correctly support every multichannel wave-file types at all.

While the Fraunhofer tool works perfectly, the rest stays in the void.

hm isn’t one thing about aac that it is especially designed for multichannel? It’s part of mp4 so it better should be.
Have you already looked/asked around on movie ripping related places? that’s the folks who are mostly concerned with surround and compression. like doom9.org or something.

Jups.
Most tools mentioned there are tools to extract soundfiles from VOB files and tools to convert audio types to VOB files.
But that was not my goal.
