Music Compo Entries For Assembly 2010

Now that this year’s Assembly has ended, here are my entries for the music compo. Both made 99% in renoise and both are far from perfect imo…

My main entry. Got 4th in the compo and thus by far surpassing my target of just qualifying to the compo and having my entry playing on the screen. Not a final, the whole song is very quickly made and far too short to have any proper variation.

My second entry. This was EXTREMELY quickly just thrown together in the last minutes, I actually submittes this only 3 minutes before the compo deadline. This on didn’t qualify, but I wasn’t really expecting it to. Still it sure would’ve been interesting to hear how those sine basses would’ve sounded in the hall :slight_smile:

I like your Animated edit personally. Had saved it under a completely wrong track name somehow so took me a little while to find it on here to comment but nice early jungle sounds. As you call it an Edit I assume it’s a remix of an original Jungle tune?

I meant edit as “remix”, as in it edited version of the final, made for assembly. I’m not really up to date with all the terminology. The tune is by no means done, it was about maybe 40% done when I slapped it together at the party an hours before deadline, and I haven’t really touched it since. It’s VERY unifinished, so no suprise it didn’t make it to the actual compo ;). But yeah it’s not edited out of an existing tune, but original material all. Somebody please tell me if I’m misusing that word…

Nah that makes sense. ASM, as in short for Assembly, Edit yeah?
