Renoise includes an instrument (samples) and loops and it has it’s own native fx plugin (Meta Devices and FX) you can try them
Renoise don’t have a piano roll (It’s a tracker DAW)
You can actually do whatever kind of genres on renoise same as other DAW.
It’s a powerful tool, you just need to get along with it for me I started to work on a famitracker to make a chiptune track so renoise is not a problem for me.
1 thing is for sure you’ll gonna enjoy this awesome software
