I really like your piano pieces IT-A. Always creative, with a lot of dynamics… and very well programmed. If I could offer some advice, it would try to make the use of space… it feels a bit like a recording with one mic. This is a finished piece that is programmed, so you could use slightly different reverbs to put some parts in its own place in the mix. Also, the track feels very mono. Maybe it is possible to add some more stereo width, so that you would kinda hear it like the pianist himself (or herself) would. Having said that, this is stuff I know little about as I dont think I have ever composed a solo piano piece. I would be interesting to try at some point though.

xerxes: this is actually my first attempt at microphones placing in Pianoteq (a plugin which actually gives this possibility). I have used 5 different microphones, of which two are close to the piano tail, one is above the tail, and two are some meters far; these last two have a slightly different amount of reverb applied. Although this choice should not have increased the stereo feeling because the microphones placement is not very wide, if you can’t hear the space then I have failed miserably at my attempt and should have left the set as the default 
I have to say anyway that the lo-fi (128Kbps) version sounds quite more dull
Yes, the difference between a WAV and the soundcloud conversion completely changes the sound, specially for sensitive instruments such as a piano. Interesting about Pianoteq, I have grazed the BUY button there several times, then bought porn instead
About the production stuff we are talking about: Most likely, you are doing it right in terms of realism. I guess I was looking for a more high-end sound, which would not be realistic… but maybe more pleasing to the ear
PS! Check out Valhalla Room. Amazing reverb, easy to tweak… and if you use short decay times… it does a very good job of putting instruments in its own space within a room. Oh, and it is dirt cheap!
It-Alien, I just spent the last hour listening to quite a few of your tracks on Jamendo! A lot of your jazzy upbeat tracks really remind me of the styles Motoi Sakuraba would write. There’s a lot to say about your music but I’ll just sum it up with: You are very talented!

The track is not bad, but lacks of more flowly melody, in my opinion.
I think its very hard to make solo this way as you do, to keep dynamics as close to realistic. Respect.
