Cheers.

Updated to 0.81

I noticed the iterator wasnā€™t optimized for ā€œIgnore Muted Tracksā€. Now fixed. Probably no one will notice, but it bugged me once I saw it.

this might be a request for this tool, or might be a request for a separate one, iā€™m not sure.

today i wanted to use ā€˜randomize notesā€™, but did not read up on what it randomizes exactly (which i figured out by now reading this thread and using the tool). what i was looking for was a script that would randomize note-placement.

now, Conner, do you feel an option for doing this would be useful to extend your script with, or do you feel it would best be done through a separate script? or is it already possible and am i just unaware of it?

edit: goddamnit i forgot the best part: your script kicks ass. it is amazing how many options it has and how well it all works. thanks loads for that.

Itā€™s a separate script. My script only handles existing notes. Placement is a whole other story (and interface?)

Maybe something more for Iterative Quantize or Groove Tool?

In fact, doesnā€™t Groove Tool do exactly this?

Thanks, cheers.

@Conner_Bw: i agree. iā€™ve also checked out both scripts, and while they do change note-placement to a certain degree, itā€™s not really a randomize function. doesnā€™t matter, iā€™ll find a way to do what i want, if i must iā€™ll do it manually (oldskool!)

2.8 compatible version added to the Tools page:

thanks, much appreciated

can you make this work for renoise 3 phrase editor?

Done in version 1.1:

Good times.

Good times.

Doesnā€™t work in phrase editor anymore.

Hacking at an idea this morning,
it would be useful to add a shortcut and/or button in Custom Scale mode where the notes are automatically set from the current selection.

Not sure if anyone is still working on this, but ā€¦ it would be awesome if Phrygian was added to the possible scales. If no one is working on this, then completely ignore this message.

Do you know the notes? Just add a line to this file following the same syntax as the other lines in this block:
