DISCLAIMER: The tool is made using Claude AI. Feel free to edit and reupload the script if you find any bugs (which is very very likely). Always make a backup copy of your song before testing.

Thx for all your Tools. Very usefull functions come with this! I have a request for a tool at you. I want near the same thing like your note inspector, but i want it for the actual played note when typed a key on keyboardpiano? Always i must go in pattern edit, when i want to see actual played note for the key i press, that sucks a lot. Can you plz do it?
Thank you @NPC1 , but I’m not sure I understand exactly what the tool should do. BTW, I urge anyone to give a try at vibe-coding their own tools. Even with a free acount on Claude AI, you can create complete Renoise tools.

Do you mean when a note is played through the keyboard, show the note in the status bar readout?
Yes, but i prefer it in a separate window like your other Note Info tool. 
This reads notes played on computer keyboard or MIDI and displays them in the status bar (optional through the tool’s settings) and a small non-modal dialog. When multiple notes are played, it displays the chord in a row below the notes.
You may notice a small delay upon firing up the tool, this is because the tool needs a workaround to overcome the API limitation in order to display notes even when the dialog is not in focus. This happens only for a few seconds upon launching the tool. It’s normal.

Hidden writes to file?.. what are you talking about? It’s just a vbscript to intercept key presses when the dialog is not in focus. Otherwise the tool would show notes only when you click on the dialog, which is not very practical.
Read the comments within the script to better understand what exactly is the script doing, and why it’s doing it. All this nonsense about hidden stuff and keyevents written to files, was unnecessary and gives the wrong impression that me or the tool wants to spy anyone using it. If you’re unsure, or can’t understand what, how and why it does what it does, simply do not use it.
I learned my lesson though. Tool is deleted.
Mate, this should not was an afront or accusation against you or your tools. I nothing meaned more as this is not usable for me personally. And simply gave you the reasons for this, before you ask after it. If this is hurting or discredit you in any way. So please take my sincere apology for that.
