christmas layers is my absolute favourite off of this album. it has feeling and depth. i think without those silent churchly bells in the back it would be only half as grand. they’re worth gold. the only thing i don’t fancy is the piano - it comes off a bit too dry. i just imagined a version with these churchy bells replacing the piano (in a higher pitch than in the back.) otherwise, excellent vibe to me.
