What File types doe it support and how do you load them up???
it can IMPORT /play midi- mod- xm- it and its native RNS file format.
if you wanna load a “sound” ( a sample) you can use wav, Mp3, Ogg and native Rni.
when you start renoise there is a small “explorer-like” windows, option “song” is preselected. broswe for a file and klick on it.
song will start playing.
if you klick only on Sample you ll be able to “LOAD” the sound on a bank ( upper right in the renoise GUI) try press the Qwerty as a piano and sound comes out! select a different back load a new sample… and that is all!!
my suggestion: download some MOD-XM and look how it s like…
its SEEMS VERY diffikult at the beginning. it s not once you start!

Click song and locate the tutorial songs inside the Renoise folder. That should be the fastest way to get going. If these do not work there’s maybe some problem with your soundcard or drivers.
the fastest way to get going is older sister that already knows how it works like. then you ask her for 15 minutes of her precious time to explain you the sample box and how to use it in the pattern.
that’s, well, not even 15 minutes… and then there’s much more time to actually do something that makes sense on it. much more than a sequencer needs.
