I was recently writing a cover of old song.
I have made bass and drum sections and started writing leader melody.
I don’t have a midi keyboard and I am not that good at playing on pc keys to play in real time,
so I spent a lot of time placing notes in their correct places and with correct lenght
Here is my idea:
- place all notes of entire melody (one by one) in some unused track or in some special buffer.
- start the song recording
- press and release one “special key” to get notes from that buffer and place them in the track with “offs”
- the “special key” could be set up in configuration or even it could be a mouse button (mouse moving could be used to controll notes volume i.e.)
Perhaps it’s a stupid idea for pros, but it would help me a lot.
