Obsolete note-offs will not disappear while cutting notes out

If I have a sequence like this:

C#3
.
.
OFF
.
.
D-3
.
.
OFF

And now cutting away the D-3 by selecting it and pressing CTRL-X, the second note-off will stay.

Ctrl-x is “cut selection”

You might then perhaps expect the del key to erase the noteoff, but that one doesn’t do that either.
They don’t because it is also possible to deliberately add a noteoff while another one is already present (Shift - capslock/a).

Some VST plugins offer special features when a note off is send, regardless if a note was triggered before it or not.
Having an application to do too much thinking work can mostly be more annoying that when you have to do the work yourself.
Besides, it can’t do much harm, unless the noteoff is always triggering an event in the plugin on a moment you do not desire.
