Orchestral Music

I love orchestral music, especially film/cinematic music. I was wondering how many people here tracks in this style. I’ve seen some great songs posted in the Song section, but no .rns files to learn from. :(

I personally made some orchestral-influenced music, which is basically progressive rock.

I didn’t post RNS files of them, because those songs have been made using VST samplers, such as NI Kontakt and IK SampleTank, and commercial (i.e.: not redistributable) samples.

My only released RNS files are the ones of electronic-like genres.

Heh, I’m listening to “Sit alone in a dark room” right now. :) Nice piano parts.

It’s just me, but I’d find useful having the RNS without the VSTs/samples since I want to learn. Orchestral music is hard to write. ;)

I learned to use my imagination quite early… and i had to listen to fairy tales on vinyl, they were usually supported by orchestral music.
I learned in that way which characteristics belonged to which creature and which instrument was attached to it.
Large, bold fat heavy creatures always the heavy contrabasses or possibly an oboe but this also depends upon when they are evil or good (and smart or clumsy)
Pick a few characters and let the instruments “interact” with eachother as if they were acting a scene.

I never use technical aspects to create orchestral music itself, just imagination.
