pattern editor \ cursor question

im not a beguinner, but im feeling like one, right now :D

since some time ago, when im in the latest row of a pattern and i enter a new note (or value), the cursor skips to the first row of the next pattern. the default behavior in renoise is having the cursor to skip to the first row of the same pattern. i don´t now what i have done to have this happening. can someone help ?

Second button from left:

The annoying thing is, when this loop setting is disabled, the cursor now goes to the next pattern when it reaches the end of the current one. I wish there was a way to make it stay in the current pattern without looping (and keep the cursor step value into account)

One workaround is to use the ‘Zeroedit’-feature that comes with the EditStepTweaks-tool I wrote. It’s not a perfect solution, but at least it somehow solves the jumping from patterns or off the editstep grid.

I’d say there’s room for improvement in the native EditStep function, though.

thanks a lot, guys :)
