i have one small idea (and i think it is not difficult to implement):
make possibility to trigger patterns via midi keyboard.
ex.: assign pattern 01 to C1 on keyboard, assign pattern 02 to C#1, 03 to D1 … etc.
when I push C1 pattern 01 will start and loop until i push another key on keyboard. when I push C1 new pattern will start only when previous patternd ends.
i think this will be great in LIVE performance (something like YAMAHA RM1x).
