PDC and #Line Input device Question

Hi there,

the manual says in the MIDI section under “Latency Handling with External MIDI Instruments”:

It’s important that you keep the #Line Input device on the same track that you trigger the MIDI instrument from and that PDC is enabled for this routing scheme to work."

I was wondering two things:

  1. Why is this the case, if Renoise only compensates by adjusting the time it sends out the MIDI (as explained earlier in that section)?
  2. What if the #Line Input device is on the group track that contains the track sending the MIDI?

Not sure if there ever was such a limitation, but this should no longer be necessary. You can place both on any track.

Thanks taktik! As I took this information straight from the manual, you might want to change this there as well.
